The Shift from Content-based Education to Outcome-based Education was aimed to prepare learners for life in society and for performing tasks. The intention of the outcome-based approach is to focus as much on the process of learning and the final outcome, as well as on the knowledge and skills. In this way, the process of achieving outcomes during the process of learning can be related directly to the way in which outcomes are achieved in the world of work.
Before the session started on the topic of OBE, people were not having much clarity about OBE. The below bar chart image represents a Mentimeter poll based on the topic “How proficient are you in OBE?”.The bar chart illustrates that the highest percentage of respondents was having only moderate knowledge about the topic and it was 49%, 44% of the respondents were new to OBE, 5% of the respondents were having good knowledge and 1% of this group was expert in OBE.
The below bar chart image describes that at the end of the session the level of knowledge about OBE changes dynamically.
More than half of the respondents, that means 66% of them have a piece of good knowledge on OBE, 21% of the respondents were on moderate knowledge, 8% of the respondents still new to OBE and last 6% of the respondents were experts in OBE.
